Hey there adventurer, I am the Ranged combat tutor. Is there anything you would like to know?1,180
There you go! Your ammo will now automatically be equipped when you pick it up.1,109
Certainly. If you pick up ammo that is the same ammo you are currently using, I can make that ammo automatically equip for you, providing you have space of course!967
Or you can leave it to going into your inventory like normal.912
Is there anything else you want to know?909
I work with the Magic tutor to give out consumable items that you may need for combat such as arrows and runes. However we have had some cheeky people try to take both!224

inventory like normal.179
So, every half an hour, you may come back and claim either arrows OR runes, but not both. Come back in a while for arrows, or simply buy some.119
To start with you'll need a bow and arrows, you were given a Shortbow and some arrows when you arrived here from Tutorial island.66
If you are ever in the market for a new bow or some arrows, you should head on over to Lowe's Archery Emporium in Varrock. I can show you where the shop is if you like.63
Ahh the art of fletching. Fletching is used to create your own bow and arrows.62
You have a training bow in your bank.59
So, every half an hour, you may come back and claim either arrows OR runes, but not both. Come back in a while for arrows, or simply make your own.54
Mikasi, the Magic Combat tutor and I both give out items every 30 minutes, however you must choose whether you want runes or ranged equipment.53
Alternatively, you can claim a training bow and some arrows from me.53
Not all bows can use every type of arrow, most bows have a limit. You can find out your bows limit by checking the Ranged skill guide.51
If you do decide to use the Training bow, you will only be able to use the Training arrows with it. Remember to pick up your arrows, re-use them and come back when you need more.50
To claim the Training bow and arrows, right-click on me and choose Claim, to claim runes right-click on the Magic Combat tutor and select Claim.46
You have some training arrows in your bank.45
Once you have your bow and arrows, equip them by selecting their Wield option in your inventory.45
You can change the way you attack by going to the combat options tab. There are three attack styles for bows. Those styles are Accurate, Rapid and Longrange.44
Accurate increases your bows attack accuracy. Rapid will increase your attack speed with the bow. Longrange will let you attack your enemies from a greater distance.41
To create your bow and arrows you would need to gather some wood, feathers, arrow heads and bow string. The wood would be to make arrow shafts which can be turned into unstrung bows and arrow shafts.34
You would then use the feathers and arrow heads on the arrow shafts to make arrows. The bow string would be used on the unstrung bow to make a bow.34
You already have a training bow.33
Unfortunately, Fletching is a member only skill so you will have to get your ranging supplies from shops or other players.29

When you have both bow and arrows, equip them by selecting their Wield option in your inventory.21
To set the way you shoot, click on the crossed swords above your inventory. This will open the combat interface where you can pick how you shoot your bow. Accurate means that you will shoot less often but be20
You should know the basics of ranged combat by now, but if you are looking for somewhere to test your skills and make some money, you should try hunting Moss giants in Varrock sewers.19
Use your knife on the logs. This will bring up a menu listing items you can fletch.18
The Training Shortbow and Training Arrows can only be used together. Remember to pick up your arrows, re-use them and come back when you need more.18
Hi, Zanik! I see you know how to handle a bow!17
There you go! Your ammo will now go to your inventory when you pick it up.17
more likely to hit, rapid means you shoot more often but might not hit so often and long range means just that, it increases your range. I prefer rapid personally, experiment and try it out!17
It's quite simple really. You'll need an axe to cut some logs from trees and a knife. Knives can be found in and around the Lumbridge castle and in the Varrock General store upstairs.16
If you are lucky you might find a Mossy key, with this key you will be able to enter Bryophyta's lair. Make sure to bring plenty of food and good armour and weapons when you fight her as you will need it.15
If you had any room in your pack I'd give you a training bow. That's a shame. Come back when you do.15
You don't need any more help, then. How about you, %USERNAME%?15
If you had enough space in your inventory I'd give you some training arrows, come back when you do.14
Use the best bow and arrows you can get your hands on and practically use, for your level. This will ensure maximum damage.14
For arrows you will need to smith some arrow heads and kill some chickens for feathers.13
Visit the ranging guild over near Hemenster, there you can practice your archery and earn tickets for it at the same time.13
If your lucky you might snag some goodies that you can sell for a decent profit.12
Now for making bows. When accessing the fletching menu, instead of choosing Arrows shafts, you can make an unstrung bow instead.12
First you will need to get some flax from a flax field. There's one south of Seers' Village. Gather flax, then spin it on a spinning wheel, there's one in Seers' Village too.12
Choose carefully where you shoot from. If you can, use fences and other things to help protect you whilst you fight.12
This makes bow strings which you can then use on the unstrung bows to make a working bow!11
Add the feathers to your Arrow shafts to make Headless arrows, then use your chosen arrow heads on the Headless arrows to make your arrows.10
To complete the bow you will need to get your hands on a Bow string.9
You may also find that the better the ranged armour you use, the more accurate you will be with your bow.9
You can then hand those tickets in for a variety of goods you can use to train your Ranged skill.9
If you need some more advice, you should talk to Adventurer Jon about Adventure paths. He may even have a handy starter kit you can use.8
If you are looking to do something different, visit the ranging guild over near Hemenster, there you can practice your archery and earn tickets for it at the same time.6

Darts are a good alternative for range training. They may not hit as hard as a bow with arrows does, but you can fire them at a much faster rate.4
I have no use for that, sorry.4

My word, I think you should be the one giving me advice instead, but I will do my best.1
Darts are the way to go! If you haven't already, talk to Irene south of the Shantay pass.1
You can throw darts much quicker than you can shoot arrows. Sure they don't do quite the damage of arrows, but you have more chances to hit with darts for that very reason.1
